Sermon thoughts – Maundy Thursday – C

To dine together is some thing joyful. The occasion will be more joyful when the table is surrounded by good friends. But when it is a time of departure and if some one is aware of that this will be his last meal, such one cannot be a celebration for him. Jesus is at the table –his beloved friends are with him. They were his “one and only” friends because they were together for the last 3 years. He shared with them his wisdom, his God experience. Before meeting Jesus, these people were simple hand workers and were living their “normal lives”. Jesus moved them to a total rejection of their old lives and occupations. read more...
